It’s officially Thanksgiving Break. I’m officially still working. After I finished my last class (none of which were cancelled today- lame!) at 2 p.m., I took the bus home only to jump right in my car and pick up a photographer from the Missourian. We drove a good twenty minutes out of Columbia to shoot a historic house I’ve written a story on. Then, we drove back so I could sit at the breaking news desk until 9 p.m.
I’m still here. There’s still no breaking news. Because everyone’s on Thanksgiving Break but us lone souls dedicated to the dissemination of information to make the general public’s life better (that wasn’t even sarcasm, I am that idealistic still).
However, I finally had time to start something I’ve been mulling over for a long time– starting a blog. This might not be the most original idea for a blog, but it’s the one I have right now. So, please run with it for a bit until I have a better idea.
So, the creation of another part of my digital legacy made my day. I love you.

I’m rather impressed with you because this blog is quite possibly the hardest website I have ever had to navigate. I’m really excited to read the rest of your thoughts. I’m not going to let you slack with this.
